Yesterday we were treated to a tour of the new villa Taman Ahimsa in Seseh. With seven bedrooms located right on the beach, this is certain to become one of the most popular luxury villas in the area.

The owners have done a fabulous job creating a unique style and space with natural materials and meticulous planning. Each building embodies organic curves and design principals with plentiful use of bamboo and natural stone. Roofs are all ylang-ylang with a distinctive curved roofline. Five of the seven bedrooms are in separate pavilions. All bedrooms are en suite, most with outdoor garden baths highlighted by river stone flooring.

A large pool sits at the bottom of the property, nearest the beach. The pool area includes a full bar, a classic Javanese day bed cum bale and lots of great chill-out space.

The property was just completed in December and has only taken a couple of preliminary guests to fine tune things and get ready for this years' peak season. There is already quite a bit of buzz about this property among the luxe agents on the island. At this stage they don't even have a website up, but already occupancy levels have spiked on word of mouth. 

The villa includes a staff of 15 and a no extra charge food and beverage policy (you pay only for your groceries here). There are great spaces for spa and yoga and the entire premises are built mindfully. Each of the bedrooms is focused on a different chakra and all the pavilion buildings reflect a healthy, natural harmony.

With dramatic style and a killer location, Taman Ahimsa is a luxe villa property to watch. We'll post more on this villa as it swings into full operation.
